By accessing or using SiteDef ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old or have legal parental/guardian consent.
SiteDef provides automated website security scanning, monitoring, and vulnerability assessment tools. The Service performs non-destructive security checks against domain names you provide. This includes but is not limited to: HTTP/HTTPS checks, SSL/TLS analysis, port scanning, DNS record enumeration, security header analysis, and WordPress-specific vulnerability reconnaissance.
SiteDef may also offer a WordPress plugin ("the Plugin") that facilitates domain verification and provides basic security hardening recommendations. The Plugin is distributed separately and subject to its own license terms.
By adding a domain to SiteDef, you represent and warrant that:
(a) You are the legal owner or authorized administrator of that domain.
(b) You have the right to authorize security scanning of that domain.
(c) You understand that security scanning involves probing ports, checking configurations, and testing publicly accessible endpoints.
(d) You will not use the Service to scan domains you do not own or control.
(e) You will not use the Service for any illegal, abusive, or unauthorized purpose.
Violation of these obligations may result in immediate account termination without refund.
YOU EXPRESSLY AUTHORIZE SITEDEF TO PERFORM REAL, NON-DESTRUCTIVE SECURITY SCANS ON DOMAINS YOU ADD TO THE SERVICE. This includes connecting to ports, sending HTTP requests, checking SSL certificates, and probing for known vulnerability signatures.
All scans are designed to be non-destructive. However, poorly configured servers or applications may react unexpectedly to security probes. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THIS RISK AND ACCEPT FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY CONSEQUENCES ARISING FROM SCANNING YOUR DOMAINS.
You may not add domains that belong to third parties without their explicit, written permission. SiteDef reserves the right to verify domain ownership through technical means including but not limited to DNS record verification, file upload verification, or WordPress REST API verification via the SiteDef plugin.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SITEDEF PROVIDES THE SERVICE "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
SITEDEF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
(a) Your use or inability to use the Service.
(b) Any security scan or vulnerability assessment performed on your domains.
(c) Any downtime, data loss, or service interruption of monitored domains.
(d) Any action taken based on security scan results or recommendations.
(e) Any unauthorized access to or alterations of your data.
In no event shall SiteDef's total liability exceed the amount paid by you to SiteDef in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
SiteDef, its name, logo, codebase, scanning methodologies, and all related materials are the intellectual property of SiteDef. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on the Service without explicit written permission.
You retain all rights to your data, scan results, and domain information stored within the Service.
Free accounts include a 7-day trial of Pro features. No credit card is required for the trial. After the trial period, Pro features are disabled unless you subscribe to a paid plan. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. All fees are in US Dollars and are non-refundable unless otherwise required by applicable law.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for mid-period cancellations.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. SiteDef collects and stores: your email address, domain names you monitor, scan results, and alert preferences. We do not sell, share, or monetize your personal data. Data is stored on servers located in the European Union.
Scan results and configuration data are retained for the duration of your account and deleted upon account termination. Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained for service improvement.
SiteDef strives for high availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to suspend service for maintenance, updates, or security incidents. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, illegal activity, or any conduct that we believe harms SiteDef, its users, or third parties. Upon termination, your data may be deleted after a 30-day grace period.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email and/or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you must stop using the Service.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SiteDef, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
The Service may integrate with third-party services including but not limited to Stripe (payment processing), Telegram (notifications), and Cloudflare (DNS and CDN). SiteDef is not responsible for the availability, security, or practices of these third-party services.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in London, United Kingdom, under the LCIA rules. The arbitration shall be conducted in English. Each party bears its own costs.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any applicable Data Processing Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and SiteDef regarding the Service, superseding any prior agreements or communications.
